Gina 3 with RME ADI-2?

I am considering purchasing an RME ADI-2 AD/DA converter to supplement my Echo Gina 3G. I should be able to connect the two devices via SPDIF. Has anyone else done this interconnect? Were you able to sync to the RME clock?
